WE INVEST IN YOUR FUTURE.
Today’s high-tech equipment requires manufacturing companies to have a well trained and highly skilled workforce.
The Apprenticeship 2000 program is a 4-year technical training partnership in the Charlotte, NC region designed to develop people for such a workforce. We recruit juniors and seniors from local high schools. Students that qualify for Apprenticeship 2000 train for exciting technical careers!
Apprenticeship 2000 began in 1995 as an apprenticeship partnership located in the Charlotte, NC region. The goal of Apprenticeship 2000 is to offer technical career opportunities to high school students and employment after graduation. In return, the sponsoring companies obtain highly skilled employees to fit their technical needs.
Partner companies provide onsite apprenticeships in various technical trades including mechatronics, tool & die, and machining. The 8000 hour program spans four years of training. Upon graduation, students earn an AAS degree in Mechatronics Technology and are awarded a Journeyman’s Certificate by the North Carolina Department of Commerce.
We work closely with local high schools. High school juniors and seniors considered for an apprenticeship with us should have completed courses in algebra and geometry and maintain a minimum 2.8 GPA.
The success of this program has allowed it to grow thoughout the region. Duplicating our knowledge and experience has led to the development of chapters throughout the Carolinas. Contact us to receive more information on starting your own program.
